Sparkling pinks in the heart of the mountains, who can resist! Photographed by 6:8 Photography and planned by Mountain Bride, Kallie and Chris were married in beautiful Fernie, B.C. at the Elkview Lodge. A gorgeous arch was designed as a ceremony backdrop, and covered in florals for a romantic, bohemian feel. After this sweet couple said “I Do!”, they hopped in a helicopter for a ride up to the top of the mountains for breathtaking portraits and a celebratory ride of a lifetime. For the reception, rose gold, blush and sprigs of green created a pure, elegant garden feeling and the couple celebrated with friends and family all night long! Even though the whole day was perfect, I do have two favourite moments from our wedding: One being when Chris pulled up to the hanger and surprised me with a helicopter ride! It’s something that I has always wanted to try and it was so surreal taking pictures on top of a mountain. The pilot took us on an amazing ride & even buzzed by our venue so all of our guests could see us! It was the cherry on top of an already perfect day – and I will never forget it!
My second favourite moment was the speeches from our parents and wedding party. They were heartfelt and perfect in every single way. It was a perfect mix of emotion and laughter.
