Marsala Wedding With Vintage Flair at Emerald Lake Lodge, BC

Marsala, marsala, marsala! While some people call this rich, deep red burgundy or maroon, we always love the name marsala. A colour named after the city of Marsala in Sicily, it's the deep vibrant red of the wine they produce there, and what better occasion to crack open a bottle and celebrate than a wedding!

Julie and Dan hosted their guests at Rocky Mountain Wedding Venue Emerald Lake Lodge, a rustic lodge that sits on the edge of a lake so green; you won't even believe it until you've seen it in person. Styled with a vintage flair, we adore Julie's elegant bridal style. Her dress is designed with delicacy in mind – we love the intricate beading and embroidery on the top of the gown. Julie also chose a headpiece encrusted with jewels and pearls to top off her wedding look. Their ceremony, which took place in the courtyard of Emerald Lake Lodge, was in front of an arch perfectly draped with white fabrics and skirted by marsala flowers.

For their reception, it was all about florals and colour.  We love the pops of teal, purples, and golds that pair with the rich reds and natural greens of the floral arrangements.
