Colourful Canadian Engagement Session

From the photographer:

Amanda & Jeffrey met while working in NYC together. Over one Christmas break they decided to leave the city to go skiing and found themselves exploring Lake Louise, Canada in Banff National Park for the first time. That trip began a new tradition for the couple and they have since returned for the last 4 years to go ice skating on a frozen Lake Louise and skiing together. This Memorial Day Jeffrey proposed in NYC and they have decided on hosting a mountain wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs known as the Castle in the Rockies in Banff, Alberta, Canada. This recent holiday trip included wedding planning but they carved out a morning on New Years Day to meet me to photograph them doing one of their favourite activities together skating by the ice castle on Lake Louise. Having only just met them in the lobby moments before Amanda & Jeffrey needed no direction to express their playful, romantic and loving relationship in a place that they love.

I often tell couples to include a pop of colour for winter photos so I was beyond thrilled when Amanda wore a red tutu. It was such a joy to photograph!

Well this is an e-session that is getting us super excited for the white stuff! Kirstie of Orange Girl joined Amanda and Jeffrey for a fun filled, colour filled engagement session on the ice at Lake Louise. This winter engagement session is full of Canadiana details we love, like your classic fur lined boots, plaid scarfs and a pop of quintessential Canadian red in Amanda’s tutu! See this entire e-session and hear more from the photographer after the jump!
