The. Gowns.
For real. Even if you aren’t usually the type to spend an entire day at a wedding fair, the gowns that come to #WFyyc are worth it. Gorgeous Calgary wedding dresses of all styles, silhouettes, price points and for brides of every style, it’s kind of like wedding dress heaven, except real. As in, you can actually fall in love with a gown and go straight to the salon after the show and buy it (as opposed to lusting after it on Instagram, only to find it has to be shipped from across two oceans).
The. Food.
Foodies, rejoice! The Wedding Fair has dozens of fab wedding venues on site for you to meet, and almost all them who have catering options, bring samples to tempt you with. From spicy to saucy to salty to sweet, you can try foods from across the city. It’s almost like chefs get a little competitive at the show – the recipes are so complex, delicious and enticing that you’re going to want to go booth to booth to sample them all!
The. Flowers.
If you haven’t spent even just the smallest amount of time daydreaming about opening a flower shop, we can’t be friends. Flowers are so beautiful, and they brighten your day, and they’re natural and gorgeous, and you just want to make a whole bed from the petals!! The flowers that will be on display the show will totally fill your heart. Towering centre pieces, blooms falling from ceremony arches and bouquets so Pin-worthy, we can’t even. So clear your sinuses, because the blooms are amazing.
The. Photographers.
Your wedding will be amazing, no matter what – but what’s going to last a lifetime (besides your love?), it’s the photos. Without a doubt. Finding the perfect Calgary wedding photographer isn’t straightforward either – you need to meet someone who’s style you appreciate, who’s in your budget and most importantly, who you connect with. So stop meeting photographers in coffee shops around the city, and meet a dozen or more in one day. Find out who you connect with on the spot, and then book meetings with them.

Because it's supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be stressful. It's supposed to be a great excuse to get out with your mom and your friends and exchange ideas and laugh and hug and plan and get so excited, you can barely stand it.
