Rustic and Down-to-Earth Golden, BC Wedding from Paige Woodbury Photography

rustic couple

I feel like this week I kind of hit the jackpot – it has been full of weddings and shoots that have inspired me, each in their different way. Unique styles, amazing photography and planning, and couples so in love that I can feel it through the keyboard. We’re finishing off this amazing week with Chels and Tyler, photographed by Paige Woodbury Photography. In her description, Paige starts off with the thought “To say that this wedding was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been a part of is an understatement.” and my gosh, can I see why. From their first look to the tree they planted as a part of their ceremony to their hula hooping dance party, I just can’t get enough of them. From the photographer:

To say that this wedding was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever been a part of is an understatement. Chelsea and Tyler are two incredibly loving people and it showed in their down-to-earth, delicately rustic, and family-oriented wedding. I drove up to the stunning Beaverfoot Lodge and Resort just outside of Golden, to spend three nights under the stars with this fantastic couple. The venue was surrounded by mountains, the guests slept in gorgeous covered wagons and cabins, the greenery was lush and it set the perfect scene for this couple to celebrate their love. I was grateful to spend a lot of time getting to know the wedding guests and meeting Chelsea and Tyler’s wonderful families. Among the many beautiful moments from their wedding day, my favorite would have to be their first look. It was raw and emotional and had me in tears all over again while I was editing these photographs. Shortly after, we drove down in Tyler’s truck to a secret riverbed hidden by trees, where they had an intimate ceremony with just their parents. All of the details of the day were carefully thought out and incredibly personal, most of them being made by family and friends. The rings were family heirlooms and the bouquets were put together by the lovely bridesmaids. The centerpieces were hand crafted with songs that played an important role in their relationship, and the music they chose helped the day flow in a wonderful way. Despite the rain and countless plan changes, spirits were sky high, love was in the air and there was never a dull moment. I am happy to have met these two, and to have been there to capture such a big day in their lives.
