From the Bride: “We wanted the ceremony to be the focal point, not just the formality before the party,” the couple says. “We think the greatest compliments we received about the wedding was how unbelievable romantic, authentic, and emotional the ceremony was. We had gone through much to stand up there on that day, and we wanted to honour that.”
It was a gorgeous fall day, perfect for an intimate outdoor ceremony for 60 of their closest friends and family. Red, gold and black accentuated nature’s own fall colours. Their wedding theme was “Romantic Bliss”, and was designed for focus on the uniting of their two families.
The invitations were designed as Parisian-inspired booklets in a palette of red, black and cream. The romantic theme and palette continued with custom-created orchid trees, and a vintage brooch adorning the bride’s bouquet. Quotes from the couple’s favorite songs, books and letters written to each other were framed and displayed throughout the venue, adding a personal and romantic element.

Post ceremony, guests were treated to a champagne reception, cocktails and appetizer pre-dinner festivities, and a four-course dinner courtesy of Chef Yoshi Chubachi at Azuridge. After, a Parisian-inspired sweets table was presented. “We visited Paris together for the first time in 2012, and wanted to infuse a few of our favourite memories of experiences past into the day.
