Ethereal Fall Gown Shoot from Lis Simon

Fall in Calgary doesn’t get enough credit. It’s a shorter version of a Canadian autumn – it doesn’t last long in our fair city. And I think because our fall orange so closely resembles our stable winter brown, people don’t love it as much they should.

Calgary wedding dress designer Lis Simon embraced the cool air and falling leaves as the perfect backdrop for her modern and romantic wedding gowns. Fish Creek Park was the perfect backdrop to show off their modern, elegant wedding gowns and the crisp elements of the shoulder season give the shoot an ethereal vibe we love.  Lis Simon was established in 2010, and this husband and wife design team have been creating modern, elegant wedding gowns ever since. With a focus on providing exceptional customer service, Lis Simon strives to create wedding dresses that showcase a pure beauty.

“We wanted to create gowns that will flatter the bride. We want the bride to wear the dress and not the other way round,” says the Lis Simon team. Inspired by the locations that their brides are often married, whether it’s the mountains, an intimate restaurant or a rustic farmhouse, Lis Simon creates based on the question of where their brides will be when they say their vows and what a dream wedding dress would look like in that setting.
