Emily is a bride with a million dollar smile. In every photo, her grin radiates cheek to cheek, making her look even more gorgeous on her wedding day! Emily and Ross brought family from across North America to their Canmore Rocky Mountain fairytale wedding, which was filled with shimmering blushes and white decor. Emily’s bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses which popped against the soft, romantic pastel wedding decor. From the bride:
We never started wedding planning with a “theme”, but instead throughout the process gathered details that felt personal and special to us. Ross is very classic and traditional, which came through in the palette of navy and blush, rose-centric florals, and our 1952 Vintage Bentley. I am more girly and whimsical, which is why my A-line dress with its flowy, slightly blush skirt and cathedral veil were the perfect mix of classic and fun. Music is very important to us both, so we selected a string trio for the ceremony, with a special performance by two of my talented bridesmaids, and a great, jazzy band for the reception that kept the dance floor full all night. One of our best friends is a singer-songwriter in Nashville, and wrote a song called “Geronimo” that has mutually been declared our song, and was playing when Ross proposed. She played it live for our first dance and we took two-step lessons and I donned my cowboy boots. My parents also surprised us with beautiful string lights hanging from the rafters that cast a romantic glow and reminded me of Nashville, and how we fell in love dancing to country bands at the honkey tonk bars.
The day was perfect, and the perfect reflection of us. Every photo is filled with joy and love, and that is exactly how I want to remember it.
