Bridal in the Badlands

When wedding shoots feature Real Brides, we are always in awe! Today on the blog, Kaelah Marie Photography brought major game to this gorgeous bridal shoot in the Bandlands of Alberta. Real bride Shonda braved the weather and the elements to wear her Sophia Tolli gown once again, and show off it's romantic elegance. The lace illusion detailing down the back highlighted Shonda's gorgeous long dark hair, and gave the entire shoot a wild and free elegance we love. From the photographer:

The story behind the shoot was our model Shanda, had just recently been married in June and her dress was to die for.. so gorgeous! Since Shanda herself is a professional makeup artist we decided to collaborate and do a bridal shoot together.  I wanted to do a bridal shoot in a gorgeous setting and Shanda was able to wear her wedding dress again so it was a win-win!  We incorporated all of the vendors she had used for her actual wedding day to fully complete the look.

On the day of the shoot we could see a storm rolling in and knew we had a limited amount of time to get the shots before the sky would open up and downpour.  The great thing about this shoot is you can see from the start of the photos to the last, the changing of the sky from the storm as it rolled in closer.  The very last photo you can see the turbulent sky and how much the wind picked up.  It was truly a fun and thrilling photoshoot as we caught the last photo right before it started to down pour and right before we heard 2 coyotes just mere feet away from us and had to get out of there!
