It's no secret that at Confetti, we have a soft spot for the use of the colour black in creative pursuits. Whether it be through wedding gown details, decor decisions or draping and room design, black adds depth and modern romance that no other hue can. Today's industrial-inspired wedding shoot was the product of a lighting workshop, and this Creative Team stretched their imaginations and talents to bring to life new techniques and skills. Using the elements of the space to create a unique experience, photographer Chic & Grace Studios worked with Lori Angebrandt event planning & design to build out a new approach to creating space.
From the Creative Team:
THE DESIGN This Industrial Boho “Photoshoot” was created by Lori Angebrandt event planning & design, for Kimberly of Chic & Grace Studios's lighting workshop, with the goal of creating new and unique design in weddings and lighting. Metal piping was combined with black chiffon and loosely draped strings of bare bulb lighting in order to create a raw and edgy industrial design. The grey cement floors and galvanized metal chairs were softened using a floral garland in soft romantic pastels. To inject a marvellous colour spark to the design, bold reds, fabulous oranges and rich blues were included in the table place settings and florals on the dark wood industrial tables. The Groom was dressed in layered textured vests over a large white cotton shirt and held with a gold vest clasp. His unusual white striped tuxedo pant, accompanied by black & white shoes, created a look reminiscent of a handsome Factory Worker or Blacksmith out of time. The Bride was dressed in beautiful chiffon, lace and black felt hat that accented her beauty in an alluring and sultry way. Her rough and loose curled hair and dark red lipstick completed the ruggedly sensual atmosphere that enveloped this lovely couple.
