Ancient Ruins Inspired Shoot

Light, airy, sweet, elegant. Today’s inspiration shoot from Red Deer wedding photographer Chic and Grace has all the ease and finesse of natural beauty! The shoot was inspired by it’s location, the beautiful ruins, and Chic and Grace embraced the textures, hues, and light to create an ethereal, romantic inspiration.

Lavender is one of our favourite colours for weddings, and we love the use of it paired with the decor elements inspired by nature. The bride wears a classic gown with intricate lace detailing, and the groom matches the softness of the shoot with a light grey suit. Hear more from the photographer and meet the entire team after the jump!

From the planner:

My vision truly came to life for this location. My inspiration came from the ruins,  I wanted to create a contrast with a soft romantic feel. I always love the look of all the old stone in Europe and wanted to find a place that could have a similar feel. Even though this wasn’t shot in film, I wanted to emulate that light and airy, fine art feel of film.
