About Confetti Magazine

ConfettiMagazine.ca is the ultimate local wedding resource for Calgary, Edmonton and BC brides and wedding professionals. A community-based online publication, we're proud to feature submissions from professionals and brides from across Western Canada. Confetti Magazine is the umbrella company who's properties include the Calgary Bridal Guide, Luxe by Confetti Magazine and ConfettiMagazine.ca, as well as partnering with the Calgary Bridal Alliance, ensuring that brides and grooms have a full range of inspiration and resources when planning their weddings.

The Confetti Magazine Family of Publications has is lead by a team of strong, smart and driven women. Our team works closely with the Calgary wedding community, our advertisers and other community partners to build publications that spark the imagination and inspire brides. We're proud to introduce you to these five amazing women:

Lynn Fletcher

Publisher & Editor in Chief

Lynn leads the Confetti team with a passion for collaboration and raising the bar in the wedding industry. Lynn provides overall direction for the look, feel and content of both the print publication and digital properties, pulling from her almost two decades of wedding and event experience to determine what information, offerings, trends and traditions are most important to showcase to couples today. Lynn most enjoys providing a place for the many diverse professionals who work in the industry  to be creative on a platform that will be seen and celebrated by the entire wedding community and will showcase their talents to couples looking to create their perfect wedding day.


Geminesse Johnson

Art Director

Geminesse is Confetti’s art director and designer behind the magazine. A graduate from the Alberta College of Art and Design she brings over 15 years of creative expertise to Confetti. She can be found fussing over fonts, images and white space, her eye for detail and layouts gives Confetti its signature look of sophistication and class. She most enjoys using design to solve visual problems both on photo shoots as well as the printed page. 


Catherine Hazin

Publication Editor-at-Large

Catherine’s passion for art and fashion, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from ACAD, allow her to lead the fashion vision at Confetti. Having always worked in the arts,  Catherine has developed her creativity in everything  from ballet management to metal work and textiles, creative direction, curating art spaces and even writing and research. At Confetti, Catherine takes the lead on fashion shoots and contributes to the creative vision of the magazine. Catherine most loves the amount of work and passion that go in to each and every image and article featured in Confetti, describing it as something that “ makes me feel like I am part of something increasingly important in our world- the creation of beauty and honour.”



Jessilyn Forigo

Editorial Director

Jessilyn is the “Confetti Quarterback”, responsible for managing content production, photoshoot logistics, advertiser communication and collaborating on the overall vision for the publication.  Her background in communication, marketing and  event management as well as a Bachelor in Communications Degree support her in wrangling the spreadsheets behind the sparkle and acting as a central point of communication for the Confetti Team. Jessilyn most enjoys working on a publication that becomes part of one of the most important times in one’s life; helping couples to visualize and craft their dream day and connecting them with the vendors that can make their vision a reality.  


Alix Williams

Digital Director

Alix began writing twice weekly for Confetti (formerly Calgary Bride) in 2009 and since then, has grown to become the Digital Director and Editor and is passionate about celebrating all the creative professionals in the Western Canadian wedding industry. A digital marketer since 2009, Alix has a passion for working with small businesses and on local projects, but that hasn't stopped her clientele base from growing across Canada and into the United States. Alix was a featured speaker at SocialWest in 2016, Western Canada's largest digital marketing conference, and that same year, was also a featured speaker for Roger's Small Business Speaking Tour. Alix most enjoys building our industry tribe and showcasing the power of social to our Confetti advertisers and partners.
